ECDL Albania embodies the mission of ECDL Foundation to enable proficient use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) that empowers individuals, organizations and society, through the development, promotion, and delivery of quality certification programmes in Albania. 

ECDL is the world’s largest and fastest growing international certification of Basic IT skills.

The ECDL (European Computer Driving License) is a certification of ICT skills to users, market-oriented work that certifies the holder's skills and knowledge, allowing for the effective and productive use of the computer's main software. 

With a standard of competence defined and internationally recognized ECDL Certification ensures the holder's mobility, recognition and competence throughout Europe, as well as in 150 countries where ECDL is recognized and already adapted. ECDL is considered to be a Driving License for Highway Information and Knowledge, having as Main targets:

• Promoting better use in computer equipment and consequently the productivity of employees in public and private companies and ROI in ICT;
  
• Overcoming the term vague and commonly used in the curriculum vitae "Computer Skills user's perspective" and to ensure an objective standard of competence;
  
• Validate skills and knowledge in ICT, through a well recognized certificate internationally;
